Regional kick-off meeting of the EU-funded project “Resilient together”
The kick-off meeting of the project “Resilient together” will be held in Dnipro on the 10th of May, 2023. The project aimed to improve the system of response to conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) in Ukraine, provide targeted support to survivors, and develop interaction mechanisms based on international standards and best practices.
It will be pursued through the following three Objectives:
- Build the capacity of key stakeholders to provide targeted support to survivors;
- Create an effective system of prevention and response to conflict-related sexual violence at a regional level;
- Contribute to the development of a legal framework for responding to conflict-related sexual violence and advocate for its adoption.
Speakers: Kateryna Levchenko — Government Commissioner for Gender Policy in Ukraine; Iryna Grytsai — deputy head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration; Yulia Kostiunina — deputy head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration; Kateryna Bezghynska — deputy head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration for social and humanitarian issues; Natalia Karbowska — Director on Strategic Development, Ukrainian Women’s Fund; Kateryna Cherepakha — President of “La Strada-Ukraine” NGO; Anastasiia Kryshtanovych — specialist of the Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine "YurFem"; coordinators or regional 1325 coalitions Olga Shulik (Dnipropetrovsk region), Lilia Kislitsyna (Donetsk region), Oksana Lunova (Luhansk region).
The Project “Resilient together: Improving the system of response to war-related sexual violence” covers the whole Ukraine with a focus on 14 regions, both in the east and west, in the north and south, in particular Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.
The event will be organized under the European Union financial support.

The project is implemented by the Ukrainian Women’s Fund in partnership with the Civil Society Organization “La Strada-Ukraine” and the Ukrainian Women Lawyers Association “JurFem” as well as the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine and the Government Commissioner on Gender Equality Policy under the European Union financial support.
The Ukrainian Women’s Fund implements the project in partnership with regional 1325 coalitions and the network of UWF regional and thematic partners, including local governments, law enforcement authorities, profile NGOs, women-activists, human rights defenders, educational institutions, media.
